It’s so sad to know that we are gradually fading away from the era of moral dignity into the era of moral decadence where TECHNOLOGY is the god of this age and SEX the goddess. With the increasing rate of different social media platform inventions, lost of moral values has really sky-rocked among youths and teenagers as most of them uses this platforms to meet their emotional/sexual needs most of which ends up in early sexual involvement and sexual abuse. Read more We must therefore note that when a wrong mind uses a right tool, it can only yield negative results. Nothing more! Nothing less! We won’t be committing a gaffe by saying that 13% of teenagers have had sex by age 15, most initiate sex in their later teenage years and by their 19th birthday, 7 in 10 female and male teenagers have had intercourse. Having noted that, 62,939 cases of child sexual abuse were reported in 2012. Some of these cases were incest. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics National Criminal Victimization surveyed in 2012, there are 346,830 reported rapes or sexual assault of persons 12 years or slightly older. In 2010, 25% of the female victims of rape/sexual assault were victimized by total strangers. Research conducted by the Centres of Disease Control (CDC) estimates that approximately 1 in 6 boys and 1 in 4 girls are sexually abused before the age of 18. 1 in 10 girls under the age of 20 of about 120 million across the globe have been sexually abused according to the latest conservative figures by UNICEF. Shall we then sit back, fold our hands and let things go out of control totally? Well if others do, we at PACI won’t. We have noticed that most of the victims here are usually affected psychologically as they tend to battle with hatred all their lives especially in cases of incest. These becomes so hard for students among the victims as it all boils down to reflect in their academic performances. The security of these younger generations are our responsibilities. It is better we save their future now and put their minds in the correct state before they start pouncing on our own innocent kids in the future. We have therefore decided to shoulder upon ourselves the joy of educating teenagers/youths properly from different background with different experiences and exposures by leveraging on different platforms that brings teenagers/youths together.
